The Bernie Quinn OAM Trophy was awarded for the first time last year during the Tweed Coast Classic Summer Series to Mahomes trained by Jason Reilly. The Tweed River Jockey Club is excited to announce that the point structure will include bonus point/s for feature races across the 2023-24 Tweed Coast Classic Racing Series including 2 bonus points for the $34,000 CHG Integrated Wealth Tweed Coast Classic Final (1200m) on Wednesday 27th December 2023.
The point system for the Bernie Quinn OAM Trophy will be based off the top 6 runners in each of the 29 races in the series.

The Tweed River Jockey Club will give bonus point/s to the winner of each heat of the Tweed Coast Classic and other feature races throughout the Series. The following races will receive bonus point/s to the winner:

The Barry Charman Medal will remain the same with a 3-2-1 point system for all 29 races across the series.
Presentation of the Barry Charman Medal and the Bernie Quinn OAM Trophy will occur on Kingscliff Cup Day (Day 4) of the Tweed Coast Summer Racing Series on Sunday 4th February 2024.
